The drive to Homer was a nice one, sunny and bright. Saw a Cow moose with 2 calves on the side of the road but no way to stop. The sunset image above was taken about 11 pm the first night I was in town. I found a campsite on Homer Spit, for $15 per night. Dry camping but that was fine. The solar panel really comes in handy for charging stuff. Homer Spit is a stretch of land, maybe 3 or 4 miles long with an assortment of shops, a harbor, docks, fishing area and several rv parks. The town of homer itself is sort of spread out and seems to have a lot os artsy places. When I drove into town I was amazed at the view across the bay, mountains and several glaciers were right there.
