Arrived at Seward around 11 am and was able to get a spot in the small campground called Iditarod, it is right on the water. Dry camping but that is fine. Only about 10 spots there and it is right next to a little memorial park. It is an easy walk to the library (free wifi) and to some of the shops downtown. Very overcast when I arrived but I signed up for a 4 hours wildlife cruise from 6-10 pm that night. It was OK but not every such cruise has the “Wow!” factor. I did get a few images. The mountains go right down to the water and there were several glaciers. Since I took 1 cruise with the company I get 20% off if I take another one so I’m debating doing that for a longer daytime cruise on Saturday. This morning dawned bright and sunny with a few puffy white clouds, if Sat. starts out like today I’ll probably try the longer cruise.
I did drive about 10 miles out of town to get a slightly closer look at one glacier, then did some errands this morning.
