Monday dawned clear and sunny so I took the shuttle up to Logan’s Pass. The shuttle is such a convenient way to get there without driving the narrow road which is under reconstruction. While at the pass I walked a good portion of the trail up to Hidden Lake and on the way back saw some Mountain Goats.
The night was absolutely clear and at the Visitor’s Center some men had telescopes out, they were very generous about sharing and supplying info about the various planets, stars and constellations. I took a few images of the Milky Way there then moved to a darker spot closer to the campground. When I got back to my trailer at close to 1 am it was clearly visible right over the campground. If tonight is as clear I’ll go out again and try for some more images from a different viewpoint.
