We left Bluff, UT, and took rt. 95 north past Natural Bridges Nat. Mon. It is marked as a scenic route and it didn’t disappoint. What a spectacular drive most of it was! Around every turn we have remarkable views. Unfortunately there were very few turnouts for photos, especially since both of us had trailers. We did stop at a large turnout above the Colorado River and got a few images. The Colorado feeds into Glen Canyon and into Lake Powell.
We opted to try for spots for the night at Goblin Valley SP and were fortunate to get them. We did a drive out to an area I had not been to and saw some lovely wild flowers and antelope.. The cliffs were impressive and we went back near sunset to try for the good light but there were too many clouds.
Since the sunset was less than impressive we decided to get up early for sunrise and were very pleased.
After capturing the early sunrise photos we went into the area where they goblins are and got some interesting photos of them in the early morning light.
