June 14 I moved 100 miles south of Nehalem to South Beach SP, just outside Newport, OR.
Very nice campground and I found some interesting places to visit. Depoe Bay is a ways north of here with some scenic spots to stop along the way.
The second evening I was here I went to Yaquina Head Lighthouse, to check it out, maybe get a nice sunset image, etc. It is operated by the BLM so my Sr. Pass means a free entry and I sure did use it.
This is a very nice area and due to a complete distraction in the form of nesting Peregrine Falcons which were very easy to photograph I didn’t explore the area nearly as much as it should be. Maybe later this summer I’ll be back to do that. I’ll be posting images of the falcons and chicks in a separate post.
