I found a wonderful BLM campground just north of Port Orford to stay at. It’s quiet, good grass and shade, but also access to the sun for the solar panel. Very few folks seem to even know about it, so it isbn’t crowded at all.
Got out Thursday night to see and capture the Milky Way, it is getting higher in the sky, more difficult to get the full arc now, but no less spectacular.
It was very foggy over the water the other morning so I spent some time watching the action at the dolly dock. The only boats that launch directly into the water are kayaks, all others either stay on dollies on the dock except when in use or are trailered onto the dock for launching via slings and huge cranes. None of the boats stay in the water full time.
